This diagram shows a cross-section of the Moon’s interior during its early history. It includes the silicate mantle and a small metallic core. The lunar mantle is low in the elements 14 zinc, tin, cadmium, indium, and thulium. They never recompensed from gas form after the collision that created the Moon.
